The GIS Office assigns the hydrant IDs in this data layer. There are four fields that need to be completed in order to complete this process: QTR_NO; ID; QUARTER; QTR_LBL. All other fields are filled out and maintained by the WR Department. The hydrant ID is comprised of the <\/SPAN>Quarter Number <\/SPAN>(space) Quarter Section Number (space) <\/SPAN>Quarter section letter & hydrant number<\/SPAN>. An example of this ID is: <\/SPAN>103 <\/SPAN>12<\/SPAN>c004<\/SPAN>. The spaces in between the three components are necessary!<\/SPAN><\/P>

A script to auto-populate these fields may be helpful; however less than 50 hydrants a month are newly created or updated with new hydrant IDs.<\/SPAN><\/P>
